How can materials be used to transform space through light? By first asking this question, my collaborative group and I performed a series of light studies using iridescent sheets angled in various ways. The unique properties of how the iridescent material refracts sunlight created beautiful color variants, and by enclosing the model in a dark enclosed space with a single light source also produced a multitude of shadows.
